Ingredients
- 4 pork chops
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 apples, cored and sliced
- 200ml cider or apple juice
- 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
- 1 tsp dried sage
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Method
- Season the pork chops. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and fry the chops for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add the onion to the same pan and cook for 5 minutes until softened.
- Add the apples and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in the cider, add the mustard and sage, and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Return the pork chops to the pan, cover, and simmer gently for 8-10 minutes, until the chops are cooked through.
- Season with salt and pepper before serving.
