Ingredients

  • 2 sweet potatoes, cut into thin wedges
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 500g turkey mince
  • 1/2 onion, finely grated
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and condiments, to serve

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan)/Gas Mark 7. Toss the sweet potato wedges with 1 tbsp of the oil and spread on a baking tray. Roast for 22-25 minutes, turning halfway, until crisp and tender.
  2. Meanwhile, mix the turkey mince with the grated onion, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Shape into 4 patties.
  3. Heat the remaining oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the burgers for 5-6 minutes per side until cooked through.
  4. Serve the burgers in buns with lettuce, tomato, and your choice of condiments, alongside the wedges.
